Awao is a suspended waterfall, a fluid wave where water and light merge in a single motion. Inspired by the falls nestled in the heights of Monkayo, on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines, this piece draws its strength from a real place — secret and majestic — where nature still seems to whisper to the ear of the world.

 

Its movement evokes the softness of tropical rain, the rustling of a forest swept by the wind, a deep breath drawn from the vibrant energy of Davao de Oro, between rock, moss, and light.

 

Luminous veins seem to glide through space, like strands of water in suspension or aquatic grasses swayed by an invisible current. A diffuse pulse can be felt, a subtle balance between the density of vegetation and the lightness of a breath of air.

 

A passage between matter and ether, Awao is a fleeting vision that hovers between descent and ascent. Its glow shifts with the light, revealing deep and ever-changing hues, between emerald and gold.

 

In a space devoted to serenity and escape, Awao becomes an open window onto the essence of life — an invitation to listen to the world’s murmur and be carried away by the flow of the elements.
